END-OF-LIFE CARE

End-of-life Care

CHOOSING THE RIGHT TIME TO SAY GOODBYE IS ONE OF THE MOST DIFFICULT DECISIONS A PET OWNER CAN FACE.

Our clinical team is here to support you with compassion and professional guidance, providing palliative care advice to help you assess your pet’s quality of life and determine when the timing is right.

A PEACEFUL AND HUMANE APPROACH

We are committed to ensuring that your pet’s final moments are calm, painless, and deeply respected. We follow a gentle sedation protocol designed to make the process as relaxed as possible.

Mild Sedation
Mild Sedation

We usually administer a mild sedative first, allowing your pet to relax and enter a natural sleep.

Pain-Free Transition
Pain-Free Transition

Once your pet is sleeping peacefully, a final injection is given. This acts like a high-dose anaesthetic, ensuring they feel no pain as they pass away quietly within a few seconds.

PRIVACY FOR YOUR FAMILY

We understand the importance of a quiet, private space during this time.

Dedicated Room
Procedures are performed in a separate, quiet room away from the main hospital bustle.
Family Presence
You and your family members are always welcome to stay with your pet throughout the process.
Special Arrangements
We can arrange specific times for your visit to ensure you have the peace and time you need to say goodbye.
Aftercare & Cremation

AFTERCARE & CREMATION

Following the procedure, we can assist you with dignified aftercare arrangements.

  • Private Cremation: We work closely with a professional private cremation company.

  • Return of Ashes: If you wish, we can arrange for your pet’s ashes to be returned to the hospital for you to collect.
